Rebellion in Klaksvík

Former Danish Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, explores the forgotten rebellion of 1955 in Klaksvík, Faroe Islands. Citizens of Klaksvík initiate an armed rebellion against the authorities, who fired their beloved doctor, Olaf Halvorsen, because of his ties to the Nazi Party during WWII. Violence erupts, guns are fired, and bombs explode.

To squelch the rebellion, Denmark deploys warships and a heavily armed police force.

Løkke has unique insights based on his years as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth and through his marriage to Faroese Sólrun.
